Education:
What: Model T Ford Beginner’s Class. Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Model T by taking this beginner course on a car that will forever be a legend. The day includes classroom instruction, hands-on work stations, purchase and service tips, maintenance, operation instructions, and behind-the-wheel drive time from guys who love their Model T’s!
Where: Towe Auto Museum - 2200 Front Street, Sacramento, CA 95818 Time: Classes run from 9am – 5pm Date: June 21 or August 23, 2008 Cost: $85 per person - includes Museum admission, lunch and all instructional materials
Lecture:
What: The Towe Auto Museum and the Sacramento Art Deco Society present a lecture on automotive mascots by guest speaker, Ed Holloway. The lecture will take place on Sunday, June 15, 2008. Doors open at 2:00pm and the presentation begins at 2:30pm. $5 for SADS & CVF members and $7 for non-members – includes light refreshments and Museum admission.
Exhibits:
What: “Mighty Midgets” – a special exhibit timed to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first-ever pro midget race at Hughes Stadium at Sacramento City College. The “Mighty Midgets” exhibit will highlight the history of midget racing and show just how this unique form of racer can excite, thrill and compete just as well as what most people think of as a ‘race car.’ The exhibit is sponsored by Kaeding Performance, A.R.T. Speed Equipment and the US Auto Club.

What: Car Club Cavalcade – June 7, 2008 – July 11, 2008 --- The Karel Staple Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club will be showcasing some of its members’ beautiful Studebakers. Cars on display will include a 1923 Special Six, a 1951 Champion Starlight, a 1955 Speedster, a 1961 Champ PU, a 1963 Avanti, and a 1966 Wagonaire. What: Saturday Night Classic Drive-In Movie Series --- Saturday, June 21, 2008. Enjoy extended Museum hours as the Towe Auto Museum stays open until 9pm and hosts the second of five free classic drive-in movie nights under the stars, complete with classic drive-in refreshments and local favorite, Vic’s Ice Cream for sale. The Museum will be showing Rebel Without a Cause - movie begins at dusk. Classic car owners are encouraged to cruise into the event in their classic cars and will receive half-off Museum admission coupons (good only for that evening). The cruise-in begins at 6pm. The cruise-in and movie are free and Museum admission is $7 for Adults, $6 for Seniors (65+), $3 for students with current ID, and under five is free. Discounts also available for AAA and Banazzle members.
What: Father’s Day (June 15, 2008) – Celebrate Father’s Day in style at the Towe Auto Museum! Dads enjoy free Museum admission. Don’t miss out on your chance to make Father’s Day a memorable experience!

What: Bert Kuntz Farewell Wurlitzer Organ Concert. On Sunday, June 22, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., the Towe Auto Museum will host Bert Kuntz in his final farewell Wurlitzer organ concert. The concert will be free with Museum admission ($7 Adults; $6 Seniors/AAA members; $3 Students with current student ID; Under 5 is free. Call for group rates.) Bert Kuntz is a popular Sacramento theatre organist and a member of Sierra Chapter, American Theatre Organ Society. He was a staff organist at Arden Pizza & Pipes and has played Sunday Pops Concerts at the Towe Auto Museum since 1994. Bert has retired and will be moving away from California.
